Born on May 25, 1954, in a middle-class agricultural family in Amreli, Shri Vasantbhai Haribhai Gajera had a very humble beginning. With a determined mind of realizing something ‘meaningful’ throughout his life and carry out the family responsibilities. he set out to Surat with his parents’ blessings in 1968 to join the Diamond Industry. Working as a diamond novice, he learned the art of diamonds in the shortest span of four years. Gradually he became an entrepreneur thus launching the renowned Laxmi Diamond, Surat in 1972.

Laxmi Diamond Pvt. Ltd. the company that stands for trust, innovation, value, and vision has already achieved global reckoning with its presence in the USA, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Since 1995, Laxmi Diamond has been appointed as the Sightholder by DTC. The company has been decorated with a number of prestigious awards for being the best in the Industry and for being the carrier of the best human and industry practices.

Smt Shantaben Haribhai Gajera Charitable Trust, founded in 1993 in loving memory of his mother, today runs 09 campuses in Gujarat – 18 schools, 3 colleges, and Vatsalyadham (Home for Orphans) – thus molding and enhancing the lives of more than 58,000 students.

The foundation of Gajera Trust was laid in the loving memory of our mother, Smt. Shantaben Haribhai Gajera. Since its inception, the philosophy of the trust and its founding members has been focused on progressive growth for people.

We live with a belief to empower every soul and be a supporting arm to society. We want to spread what all of us want “One Happiness”.

Gajera Trust works closely in rural development and ensures that all lives get equal value. Vasant Gajera’s vision is to rehabilitate each and every child, enabling them to achieve the highest level of ability and self-reliance. Our initiative, ‘Vatsalya Dham’, brings back the soul and prepares children for challenges and opportunities, both in and out of the classroom.

In 2014, Shri Vasant Gajera was conferred the title of “Vatan Na Ratan” by the people of Amreli for his “invaluable contribution towards the society and its welfare; his diligence, integrity, and hard work”.

Born on 5th July 1960 in Amreli of Gujarat State, Mr. Chunibhai Gajera, the founder and the owner of ‘Laxmi Diamond’ has five brothers and a sister. Being highly intellectual and socially responsive, he has been consistently involved in social activities.

In 1972, when Mr. Chunibhai Gajera came to Surat for earning his livelihood, he started his work as a diamond worker. Gradually, he commenced a small industrial unit named ‘Laxmi Diamond’ along with his elder brother Mr. Vasantbhai Gajera. ‘Laxmi Diamond’, at present is globally known as one of the leading companies in diamond exporting and being a DTC sight holder since 1995.

The company has won prestigious awards and fame and thus eventually other companies like Laxmi Diamond Pvt Ltd, Laxmi Info Developers Ltd, Shanti Enterprise, etc also commenced in the country and they are making continuous positive progress.

Mr. Chunibhai Gajera and his brothers always wished to serve society and to provide well-educated citizens to the country; Smt. Shantaben Haribhai Gajera Charitable Trust was established on 15 January 1993. It has 9 campuses which include 18 Schools, 3 Colleges, and a Vatsalyadham (Home for Orphans). Recently the trust has started Medical College in Amreli, Gujarat. The trust works for the qualitative development of more than 58,000 students studying in these educational institutions.

Gajera Trust also provides the best healthcare services to serve the community on a larger scale. Since 1993, till today Blood Donation Camp is held twice a year. Mobile medical vans arranged by Trust have been reaching out to people in rural areas regularly. Various lectures and campaigns are arranged to promote awareness about the mental and physical fitness of people. Goods and food always reach the needy at the time of any calamity.

“Serving Humanity is serving God” Gajera Trust opened Vatsalyadham, an orphan house at Kholvad, Ta – Kamrej of Surat district where more than 850 orphans are given shelter and education to make them self-reliant. Apart from this noble act, many times such financial help is rendered to the affected and helpless people in adverse situations wherever and whenever the need arises.
